Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Plain-language summary
Champion MVP is owned and operated by Sports Media, Inc. Here is the whole policy in a few lines.
- We do not collect personal information from children. Kids can read, watch, color, and play without signing up, logging in, or typing anything about themselves. There are no child accounts, no chat, no comments, and no uploads.
- We collect information only from adults, and only when an adult chooses to give it. That happens when a parent, educator, sponsor, or partner fills out our contact form, books a call, joins our parent email list, or buys something.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. There are no ad networks, no advertising cookies, and no third-party analytics cookies on this site.
- Videos do not load from YouTube until you press play. Before that, YouTube receives nothing from your visit to our site.
- Payments happen on Stripe's secure checkout page. We never see or store your full card number.
- Text messages and marketing emails are opt-in only, and you can stop them at any time (reply STOP to texts, or click unsubscribe in any email).
- You can ask us what we have, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@championmvp.com. Parents can do the same for anything relating to their child.
The rest of this page is the detailed version. It says the same thing with the specifics the law requires.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy is issued by the operator of the Champion MVP website:
Sports Media, Inc., a Colorado corporation
274 Mount Harvard Ave., Suite 350
Severance, CO 80550
United States
Privacy email: privacy@championmvp.com
General email: info@championmvp.com
Telephone: (970) 394-3339 (answered by an automated AI assistant; see Section 6.4)
Sports Media, Inc. ("Sports Media," "we," "us," or "our") owns Champion MVP and is the sole operator responsible for the personal information collected through the services covered by this policy. Sports Media, Inc. is part of the dakdan worldwide family of companies. No other company in that family collects, maintains, or receives personal information through these services.
1.1 What this policy covers
- The website at championmvp.com and its pages (the "Site")
- The free browser game "Let's Play Baseball!" hosted at games.sportsmedia.us, which Sports Media, Inc. operates and which is designed to collect no personal information
- Emails and text messages we send to adults who asked to receive them
- Our communications with you by email or phone
1.2 What this policy does not cover
This policy does not cover websites and platforms we do not operate, even when our content appears there or our Site links to them. These include YouTube (Google), Amazon, Stripe's checkout pages, our print-on-demand fulfillment partner's systems as they relate to their own operations, and social media networks. Those companies collect and use information under their own privacy policies. See Section 8.
2. How our Site is built: a mixed audience site
Our books, videos, games, and activity pages are made for children ages 3 to 8 (our videos are written for ages 3 to 10). The Site is also where parents, teachers, coaches, librarians, youth program leaders, sponsors, and business partners learn about the program, contact us, and buy products.
Because both children and adults visit, we have designed the Site so that:
- Children's content requires nothing from a child. Reading, watching, coloring, printing, and playing never ask for a name, email address, photo, voice, location, or any other information. There is no place on the children's content for a child to type personal information.
- Every point where personal information is collected is for adults only. The contact form, the booking calendar, the parent email list, and checkout are each labeled for adults 18 and older, and each asks the visitor to confirm their age before any personal information is accepted. We ask about age in a way that does not suggest which answer is "right."
- Children's content runs without third-party tracking. We do not place advertising networks, advertising cookies, social media pixels, or third-party analytics cookies anywhere on the Site.
Children's privacy is described in full in our Children's Privacy and COPPA Notice, which is part of this policy.

We do not ask for and do not want Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, health information, or information about race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, citizenship or immigration status, or union membership. Please do not include sensitive information in a message.
3.2 Information collected automatically
Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes standard request data when any browser loads a page: IP address, browser type (user agent), the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use this only to deliver the Site, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and fix errors.
Local storage on your device. We store one value in your browser's local storage to remember your cookie choice (embedded media allowed, or essential only), so the cookie pop-up does not reappear on every page. It contains no name, email, or identifier that tracks you, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Aggregate, cookieless site statistics (possible future use). We may enable Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless tool that counts page visits in aggregate. It does not set cookies, does not use cross-site identifiers, and does not build profiles of individuals. If enabled, it would be used only to understand which pages work and to keep the Site running well. It would not be used to contact anyone, to advertise, or to track anyone across other websites.
Spam protection on the contact form. When an adult starts using our contact form, Google reCAPTCHA loads to tell people from automated bots. Google receives device and browser information and the interaction with the form for that purpose, under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We receive only a pass or fail result and, for some versions, a risk score, which we use only to accept or reject the submission and do not store. reCAPTCHA never loads on children's content.
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, social media pixels, session recording, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
3.3 Information from third parties
- Stripe sends us an order confirmation: your name, email, shipping address for physical goods, the items purchased, the amount, and the last four digits and brand of the card. We never receive your full card number.
- Our print-on-demand partner tells us when an order ships and provides tracking information.
- Amazon pays us commissions on qualifying purchases made through our affiliate links. Amazon reports sales to us in aggregate. It does not tell us who you are or what you personally bought.
3.4 Information we do not collect from children
We do not collect personal information from children on the Site or in our game. If a child under 13 sends us personal information anyway (for example, by using a parent's device to fill out the contact form or by calling our phone line), we will not use it, will not respond to the child beyond what is needed to delete it, and will delete it promptly once we learn of it. If you believe this has happened, email privacy@championmvp.com with the subject line "Child Information" and we will confirm deletion to you.
4. How we use information
We use personal information from adults only to:
- Answer your inquiry and follow up on the conversation you started
- Schedule and hold the sponsor, partner, or educator call you booked
- Process, fulfill, and support your order, including sending digital download links and shipping physical items
- Prepare quotes and administer educator, district, and sponsorship agreements
- Send the parent launch updates or marketing emails you opted in to receive
- Send text messages you opted in to receive
- Keep the Site and our systems secure, detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems
- Keep the business and tax records the law requires
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms and Conditions
We do not use personal information for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not sell it, we do not build profiles of individuals, and we do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Email and text messages
5.1 Email
- Transactional and relationship emails (answers to your inquiry, booking confirmations, order receipts, download links) are sent because you asked for them.
- Parent launch updates and marketing emails are sent only if you opted in. Every marketing email identifies Sports Media, Inc. as the sender, includes our postal address, and includes a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly and in any case within 10 business days, and we never charge a fee or require more than your email address to unsubscribe.
5.2 Text messages (SMS)
If you check the optional SMS box, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Champion MVP (Sports Media, Inc.) at the mobile number you provided, about your inquiry, appointments, and program news. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time and HELP for help. You may also revoke consent by any reasonable means, such as emailing info@championmvp.com, and we will honor it promptly as the law requires.
We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties, except with the service providers that deliver the messages for us.
5.3 Children
We do not send email or text messages to children and do not knowingly keep a child's contact information on any list.
6. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not done so in the past 12 months.
6.1 Service providers
We disclose personal information only to service providers that help us run the Site and our business, only for the purposes listed, and only to the extent needed:
| Service provider | What it does for us | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel, Inc. | Website hosting, server-side form processing, security | Server log data; form submissions in transit |
| HighLevel, Inc. (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) | Customer relationship management, email and text delivery, appointment booking | Contact form, booking, email list, and SMS consent information |
| Stripe, Inc. | Hosted checkout and payment processing | Purchase, billing, and payment information |
| Google LLC (reCAPTCHA) | Spam and bot protection on the contact form | Device and browser information and interaction with the form while it is in use |
| Our print-on-demand fulfillment partner | Printing and shipping merchandise | Name, shipping address, items ordered, order contact email |
| Email and SMS delivery networks used by our CRM | Delivering messages you asked for | Email address, mobile number, message content |
| Professional advisors (accountants, attorneys, auditors) | Professional services under a duty of confidentiality | As needed for the engagement |
We require service providers, by written contract or binding terms, to use personal information only to provide services to us, to keep it confidential and secure, and to delete or return it when the service ends. Some providers, such as Stripe, also act independently for their own legal, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes under their own privacy policies.
6.2 Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to protect the safety of a child or any person, to investigate fraud or security issues, or to protect our rights.
6.3 Business transfers
If Sports Media, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any successor must honor this policy for the information transferred, or give you notice and a choice before using it in a materially different way.
6.4 Our AI phone assistant
Calls to (970) 394-3339 are answered by an automated AI assistant operated through our CRM provider. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so that we can respond to you and keep accurate records. If you do not want to talk with an automated assistant or be recorded, please email info@championmvp.com instead. The phone line is for adults. If a child calls, the assistant is instructed not to collect information, and any recording or transcript we identify as coming from a child is deleted.
6.5 Sponsors and partners
We never share information about any family, child, or student with sponsors or partners. Sponsor recognition is a name and logo on a bookplate or at an event. Sponsors receive only aggregate program numbers, such as how many books were delivered to which schools or leagues.
6.6 Children's information
We do not collect personal information from children, so we do not disclose any. If we ever did, we would first obtain a parent's separate verifiable consent before disclosing a child's information to any third party, as described in our Children's Privacy and COPPA Notice.
7. Educators, schools, and districts
- We collect no student personal information. Our books, printables, videos, and game involve no student accounts, logins, rosters, or student data of any kind.
- We will sign your state's student data privacy agreement on request, including agreements and addenda used under Colorado's Student Data Transparency and Security Act, California law (including SOPIPA), New York Education Law Section 2-d, Connecticut's student data privacy law, and the Illinois Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA), and the national model agreement where your district uses one.
- If a district ever provides us student data under an agreement, we will use it only for the contracted school purpose, never for targeted advertising, never to build a profile of a student for a non-school purpose, never sell it, protect it with reasonable security, and return or delete it as the agreement requires.
- The information we collect from educators themselves (name, school, role, email) is adult contact information and is handled under this policy.
8. Third-party platforms and links
- YouTube. Videos on our Site use a "click to play" preview. The preview image and play button are served from our own Site, and no request is made to YouTube until someone presses play. When play is pressed, the video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and from that point Google's privacy policy and YouTube's terms apply to the video player. We do not receive any information from YouTube about who watched. If you prefer that YouTube not be contacted, do not press play.
- Amazon. Our books are sold on Amazon through affiliate links. When you click a book link you leave our Site, and Amazon's privacy policy and cookies apply. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Stripe. Purchases are completed on Stripe's hosted checkout page. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the information you enter there.
- Google reCAPTCHA. Our contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to it.
- LeadConnector booking calendar. The sponsor and partner booking calendar is provided by our CRM provider and displayed in a frame on our sponsor page. When the calendar loads, the provider receives standard request data from your browser and may use its own strictly necessary storage. Information you type into the calendar goes to our CRM account and is handled under this policy.
- The "Let's Play Baseball!" game at games.sportsmedia.us is operated by Sports Media, Inc. It has no accounts, no chat, no score submission, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
- Other links. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites we link to.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which we collected it, and then we delete it. We do not keep personal information indefinitely. This schedule matches our written data retention policy.
| Category | Why we collect it | Why we keep it | When we delete it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Children's personal information | We do not collect it | Not applicable | If received by mistake: deleted promptly, and in any case within 30 days of discovery |
| Server logs (IP address, user agent) | Security, operations, error diagnosis | Investigating attacks and failures requires a short recent window | Within 30 days |
| Cookie choice in local storage | Honoring your cookie choice | Strictly necessary | Stays on your device until you clear your browser storage; we never receive it |
| Contact form and inquiry records | Answering you | Follow-up on the same conversation | 24 months after our last communication with you |
| Booking calendar records | Scheduling your call | Follow-up and partnership discussions | 24 months after the meeting, or the term of any resulting agreement plus 7 years |
| Parent email list | Sending updates you asked for | Until you unsubscribe | Marketing use stops immediately on unsubscribe; address kept only on a suppression list so we do not email you again |
| SMS consent records | Proving you opted in and honoring opt-outs | Legal compliance | 5 years after the consent ends |
| Phone call recordings and transcripts | Responding to your call | Follow-up | 12 months after the call, unless part of an order or agreement record |
| Order records (name, addresses, items, amounts) | Fulfilling your order | Returns, accounting, and tax law | 7 years after the order |
| Digital download records | Letting you re-download what you bought | Customer support | 7 years after purchase |
| Payment card data | Processing payment | We never store it | Never held by us |
| Educator, district, and sponsorship agreements | Administering the agreement | Contract, audit, and dispute needs | Term of the agreement plus 7 years |
| Student data received from a district (if ever) | Only as the district agreement specifies | Only as the district directs | Per the district agreement, or sooner on the district's request |
| Privacy and parental request records | Showing we honored the request | Compliance | 3 years |
| Identity verification material for a request | Verifying the requester | None after verification | Promptly after verification is complete |
| Security incident records | Response and legal notice duties | Root cause and compliance | 3 years after the incident is closed |
If a legal hold applies (for example, litigation, an audit, or a government inquiry), we suspend deletion for the affected records only, for only as long as the hold lasts.
10. Security
We maintain a written information security program appropriate to our size and the sensitivity of the information we hold. Under that program we designate a person to coordinate security, assess risks at least once a year, put safeguards in place, test and monitor them, and update the program at least once a year. Safeguards include encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the Site, security headers, server-side form handling so that CRM credentials are never exposed in your browser, multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, access limited to people who need it, and written commitments from service providers.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as the law requires.
11. Your privacy rights
We give the following rights to every adult in the United States, whether or not the law of your state requires it:
- Access: know what personal information we hold about you, how we got it, why we use it, and who we share it with
- Correction: fix inaccurate information
- Deletion: have us delete your information, subject to records the law requires us to keep
- Portability: get a copy of the information you gave us in a usable format
- Opt out: of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and profiling. We do none of these, so you are already opted out.
- Withdraw consent: stop marketing emails or text messages at any time
- No discrimination: we will never treat you differently for using these rights
11.1 How to make a request
Email privacy@championmvp.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," write to us at the address in Section 1, or call (970) 394-3339. We will verify your identity using information we already have (usually by confirming from the email address in our records). We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and take no more than 45 additional days.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for written proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to confirm your identity directly with us.
11.2 Appeals
If we deny your request, we will explain why in writing. You may appeal within 45 days by replying to our response or emailing privacy@championmvp.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond in writing within 45 days with our decision and reasons. If you disagree with the result, you may contact the Colorado Attorney General (coag.gov) or the attorney general of your state.
11.3 Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other recognized universal opt-out signals as a request to opt out of the sale of personal information and targeted advertising. Because we do not sell personal information or engage in targeted advertising, everyone is already opted out, with or without a signal. Our Site does not change its behavior in response to "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no tracking for the signal to turn off.
11.4 California residents
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we have not done so in the past 12 months, including for consumers under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about anyone. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. The categories of personal information we collect, their sources, our purposes, and the categories of recipients are described in Sections 3, 4, and 6.
11.5 Minors under 18
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through our adult forms, and we do not sell, profile, or use for targeted advertising the information of anyone under 18. We do not use autoplay chains, streaks, infinite scroll, engagement-driven notifications, or similar design features meant to extend a young person's time on the Site. We offer no messaging feature that would let any adult contact a child through our services.
12. Parents' rights
Parents and guardians may at any time ask us whether we hold any information relating to their child, review it, have it deleted, and direct us to stop any further collection or use. See our Children's Privacy and COPPA Notice for how to do this.
13. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for people in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make a material change, we will post a prominent notice on the Site, and email subscribers where we have an address, at least 30 days before the change takes effect. We will not apply a material change to information previously collected from a child without first obtaining new verifiable parental consent. Prior versions are available on request.
